Inpatient area
In six one- and two-storey houses, the mentally handicapped live in 15 common households. We offer a total of 140 places in single rooms (13.5 square meters) and double rooms (between 18 and 21 square meters): every living group has a cosy community room, individually configurable living rooms, a completely furnished kitchen and all necessary domestic equipment including washing machine and dryer.
The living rooms are provided with television and telephone connections. A nursing bed and all individually necessary technical aids are provided in case of need.

Available are full board, partial board or self-catering within the living groups. Breakfast, midday meals and suppers as well as snacks between meals and also special meals (e.g. diet) are offered.
One can also select the meals from a catering company, eat a midday meal in the bistro or cook on your own.
The laundry, cleaning and maintenance of the laundry as well as domestic services (e.g. room cleaning, kitchen cleaning, cleaning of the community rooms) are included in the service package.

Basic tasks, life skills and socially integrating services are included as well as the orientation in the immediate surroundings, in the vicinity and in the boroughs, and support of capabilities and performance strengths in routine daily events. We likewise offer behaviour-oriented aids such as Snoezel therapy, as well as musical support and swimming.
The culture program of our facility, including celebrations and ceremonies, is extensive and varied. In addition there are external leisure time events (theatre, cinema, musical events, sports events etc.). We cooperate with other associations and offer groups leisure time and cross-functional holidays as well as participation in own cultural projects.


We advise on living possibilities, on the Federal Social Security Act, on parent work, as well as contact to the neighbouring Fliedner workshops. We also offer help in personal affairs, such as in shopping, physician visits, holiday arrangements, leisure time activities, support person contacts, interests and hobbies.
