What we are

Haus Engelbert is an open, socio-therapeutic centre for chronic alcohol and drug-dependent women and men. It was opened in April 1999.

Our facility has been providing assisted living since June 2004. We make it possible for some of the people living here to return to their own dwellings in the course of time. Addicted adults from Mülheim and the nearer surroundings who desire our support for mastering their lives are also given admission into assisted living units.
 

Who we are

Our team is composed of colleagues in:

• social work and social education
• nursing
• home economics
• administration
• (work and occupation therapists for participation in therapies)

What we offer you:

Support and assistance:

• in procuring and preserving a place to live
• in professional life or in the search for an occupation 
• in issues of social law, or financial and authority affairs 
• in domestic and nursing activities
• in daily and leisure time arrangement 
• in building up and/or preserving social contacts 
• in contacts with relatives and other individuals important to you 
• for relief meetings and addiction counselling

At your special request it is possible to take advantage of certain outpatient day-structuring offerings in Haus Engelbert..
